Welcome to

East Dean and Friston Art Group has been meeting in East Dean near Eastbourne in East Sussex for over forty years.

The members meet every Tuesday morning in the East Dean Village Hall from early September through to the end of May with a break for Christmas.  During the summer months (June – August) the Group meets weekly at outdoor venues around the villages and local areas sketching and painting en plein air.

We are a sociable Group of mixed ability painters using various mediums: acrylics, inks, oils, pastels, pencils and watercolours producing works across a wide arrange of subjects. We enjoy regular workshops and demonstrations by visiting tutors always taking a break to enjoy refreshments mid-morning.
